What is coital Cephalalgia

There may be one episode or several with no defined periodicity;Some people joke about using the excuse of a headache to avoid sex, but a sexual headache is a legitimate medical condition that affects many individuals when engaging in sexua.We describe eight patients with benign coital cephalalgia who were successfully treated with propranolol hydrochloride.These headaches are benign in nature and are rarely associated with any significant health problem.It is often confused with more serious conditions such as subarachnoid hemorrhage due to ruptured intracranial aneurysm.Also known as sexual headaches, coital cephalalgia is a rare type of severe headache that occurs at base of the skull before orgasm during sexual act.

These headaches are usually benign, but occasionally are caused by intracranial hemorrhage and cerebral infarction, especially if the pain is sudden and severe.
